Searching in Shift

Searching in Shift is very similar to searching in any other browser. Read on for more details. 

Shift is Chromium-based, which means it uses Google Chrome as its default search engine. To start a new search in Shift is straightforward; just follow these steps below: 

Using the Search Bar

From the Home Page:

  1. Open Shift to see the Google search box in the center of the page or at the top.

  2. Type your query and press Enter.

 From a New Tab:

  1. Click the “+” button next to your current tab. This will open a new tab.

  2. Use the search box in the center of the page or at the top to type your query and press Enter.

Using the Home Button

1. Click the Home icon in the top left corner.

2. This takes you to the main hub for searching, opening new tabs, and accessing settings.
