New Things ✨
- To enhance your productivity, the Shift browser now automatically pops to the forefront upon unlocking your computer. This way Shift is easily available and you can dive straight into web searches with minimal effort.
Bugs Fixed 🐛🔨
- Previously, editing a bookmark in Shift resulted in duplicate bookmarks – one with the old info and another with the new edits. We’ve fixed this and streamlined the process. Now, editing a bookmark updates it directly, eliminating duplicates and keeping your bookmarks tidy.
- We were encountering an error when signing into Slack within Shift, this is far from ideal. We've addressed this issue to ensure a seamless login process, letting you connect to your Slack channels without a hitch.
- Watching videos in Shift just got better. We've fixed the bug that kept the Omnibox and bookmarks bar visible in full-screen mode. Enjoy an unobstructed, theater-like video experience within Shift.
- When hovering over bookmark folders in your overflow bookmarks, the bookmarks appear duplicated, cluttering your organization. We've eliminated this glitch. Add bookmarks to your heart's content without worrying about duplicates.
Other Notable Updates 👀
- We’ve updated our Shift favicon for a modern look and enhanced its responsiveness to seamlessly adapt when changing between Shifts themes.
- We observed that hovering over specific UI elements in Shift displayed a “pointer” cursor, which was not in line with our goal for a native app feel. We have now updated these to display a standard cursor, enhancing the user experience.
