  • Open Recent Tabs on Launch: Shift now opens up to 6 of your most recently visited sites, providing a smoother and more personalized experience.
  • Save Passwords Before Logging In: You can now save passwords prior to logging in, with pre-filled credentials that update as you type—making it easier to securely store your login information.
  • Convenient Access to Incognito Info: A "Learn More" link is now available in every new Incognito window, directing users to a helpful Knowledge Base article.
  • Streamlined Add App Workflow: Simplified the Add App process by removing unnecessary footer options, ensuring users automatically move to the next step based on the app directory used.

Bugs Fixed 🐛🔨

  • Save Password Dialog Positioning: The dialog now resizes and moves with the browser window for a seamless experience.
  • Extensions Button Navigation: Clicking the Extensions button in the Quick Settings drawer now correctly opens the Extensions page.
  • Google Tab Crash: Fixed crashes when reopening tabs for Google.com, Google.ca, or Google Maps.
  • About Shift Navigation: The "About Shift" page now opens consistently, even when no tabs are open or Shift is on the Home page.
  • Import on Installation: Fixed an issue where settings (passwords, bookmarks, history) were not automatically imported from the default browser during installation.
  • Shift Support Button: The Knowledge Base/Support page now loads correctly when clicking the button on the top bar.
  • "Esc" Key Crash: Pressing "Esc" on a webpage or webview no longer causes the browser to crash.
  • Search Bar Highlighting: Improved the highlight effect for search bar icons, ensuring consistent and polished visuals.
  • Knowledge Base Crashes: Fixed crashes when using Ctrl+Click on links or pressing "Back to website" in the Knowledge Base.
  • "Open in New Tab" Issue: Resolved an issue where links failed to open in new tabs when an app was active.
  • Blank Home Page on Launch: Fixed a blank Home page issue on Windows 11. The Home page now displays the New Tab Page properly.
  • Link Opening from Apps: Fixed an issue where links from apps opened as blank pages. Links now open correctly.
  • FedCM Dialog Crash: Fixed crashes when resizing the window while the FedCM dialog was active.
  • Extension Removal: Extensions can now be removed successfully via the top-bar dropdown.
