The Business Directory App in Shift helps you find and connect with businesses. You can search for companies, stores, or services—all from within Shift. This guide will show you how to use the Business Directory App.

Step 1: Navigate to the Business Directory App

1. Open Shift on your computer.
2. Click on the Business Directory App

The Business Directory App offers multiple directory platforms for you to choose from:

• 411 info: Search businesses, reverse phone lookup, real estate and houses based on their category and locations.
• Yellow Pages: Search for restaurants, dentists, medical clinics, car repair services, grocery stores, and more by business type and location.
• Angi: Search for businesses with their locations.
• Better Business Bureau (BBB): Search for businesses with their locations.
• Manta: Search for businesses by location (city, state, country, and zip)
• Chamber of Commerce: Search for businesses by location.
• Hotfrog: Search for businesses by location.
• Yelp: Search for businesses with their locations. Available categories are restaurants, home services, auto services, and more.
• Foursquare: Search for businesses with their locations. Available categories are food, coffee, nightlife, fun, and shopping.

You can select your preferred platform to begin searching for businesses.

Search for a Business

1. Select your preferred platform from the sidebar
2. In the input bar at the top, type the information requested based on the platforms of the business you are looking for.
3. Press Enter on your keyboard.
4. A list of matching businesses will appear based on the platform you selected.

View Business Details

1. Click on a business name from the search results.
2. The business profile will open, showing details such as:
   • Business name and address
   • Phone number
   • Website link
   • Operating hours
   • Customer reviews

Contact a Business

• Click on their phone number to call them (if available).
• Click on their website link to visit their website.
• If there is a message option, click it to send a direct inquiry.

Can’t find a business?

• Check for spelling mistakes.
• Try searching with a different platform.
• Use broader keywords (e.g., "pizza restaurant" instead of a specific name).
