The People Search App in Shift helps you find and connect with people. You can look up coworkers, contacts, or others in your network from within Shift. This guide will show you how to use the People Search App.

Navigate to the People Search App

1. Open Shift on your computer.
2. Click on the People Search App at the top right corner.

The People Search App offers multiple search platforms for you to choose from:

You can select your preferred platform to begin searching for people. Each platform offers different search options, which are outlined below: 

• Whitepages - search by Name, City, State, or Zip. Or use the Reverse Phone Number or Reverse Address lookup
• Spokeo - search by Name, Phone Number, Address, or Email
• BeenVerified - search by Name, Reverse Phone Number, Email, Address, and Vehicle
• Intelius - search by first name, last name, city, and state.
• TruthFinder - search by first name, last name, and state.
• PeopleFinders - search by first name, last name, city, and state.
• FastPeopleSearch - search by names in alphabetical order
• Pipl - Requires login to start searching
• PeekYou - search by first name, last name, and state

Steps of starting the search:

1. Select your preferred platform from the sidebar
2. In the search bar at the top, type the information requested based on the platform of the person you are looking for.
3. Press Enter on your keyboard.
4. A list of matching people will appear based on the platform you selected.

View a Person’s Details

1. Click on a person’s name from the search results.
2. Their profile will open, showing details such as:
   • Email address
   • Phone number (if available)
   • Current and past addresses
   • Social media profiles (if available)
   • Criminal records or background checks (on specific platforms)

Troubleshooting

Can’t find someone?

• Check for spelling mistakes.
• Try searching by their email instead of their name.
• Ensure you are using the right platform for the type of search you need.
• Some platforms may require a paid subscription for full details.

Is the app not working?

• Refresh Shift and try again.
• Restart Shift if the app is not loading.
• Check your internet connection.
