Our no-contact test drives are very similar to our normal test drives, but with some extra precautions to abide by CDC Guidelines for COVID-19.
If you booked a no-contact test drive at your home, a Shift Concierge will show up within the arrival window and the following will occur:
- They will ask for your driver’s license, so that we can verify it in our system.
- They will wipe down any frequently touched surfaces (including the interior and exterior of the car, keys, iPad, and driver’s license).
- They will hand you the keys and let you take the car out for a test drive on your own, while the Concierge waits for you at a designated meeting spot near your home.
- At the end of your test drive, if you decide to buy the car, the Concierge will help facilitate the transaction on the spot using their iPad. If not, we’ll simply drive the car back to a Shift location.
If you booked a no-contact test drive at one of our Shift locations, we will conduct the same process as above, and you also will have the option to test drive multiple vehicles if you choose to.
