If a team member didn't receive their invitation to join your team, you can fix it by verifying the email address in your Account Portal and resending the invite. Most issues are caused by typos or spam filters. Shift ensures your team stays connected with just a few clicks.
Troubleshooting team invites in Shift Browser
It's frustrating when your team can't get started. If your invitation didn't arrive, don't worry. We've built the Shift dashboard to give Admins full control over the onboarding process. Follow the steps below to get your colleagues into their new workspace.
How to troubleshoot a missing team invite
You should start by verifying that the invitation was sent to the right place. Sometimes a small typo can stop the whole process.
Sign in to the online account portal using your Shift Account email.
Go to the Teams section in the left panel.
Look at your team member’s email address. Is it spelled correctly?
If the email is wrong, delete that entry.
Add the correct email address to send a fresh invite.
Check the member's account settings
For Shift to recognize the invite, the team member must use the exact same email address for their login.
Ask your team member to open Shift.
Confirm they're signed in with the same email address you used in the Teams dashboard.
Ask them to check their spam or junk folder for an email from support@shift.com.
Resend the invitation
If the email is correct and the spam folder is empty, you can resend the invite.
Remove the team member from your team list in the portal.
Re-add them using the Add Member button.
This triggers a new invitation email immediately.
