Getting Started with Shift Browser's Shopping Add-on

The Shopping add-on in Shift Browser automatically finds the best deals, coupons, and savings while you shop online. Because it is a native integration built directly into your sidebar, you do not need to install heavy, third-party browser extensions to save money.

Enabling the Shopping Add-on

Most versions of Shift come with the Shopping add-on pre-enabled. If you do not see it in your sidebar, ensure your browser is updated to the latest version before turning it on.

Step 1: Ensure Shift is Up to Date

  1. Open Quick Settings by clicking the gear icon in the top-right corner of your browser.

  2. At the bottom of the Quick Settings panel, click Advanced Settings to open the full-screen configuration manager.

  3. Select the About Shift Browser tab in the left sidebar.

  4. Verify that your browser is up to date. If an update is available, download and install it before proceeding.

Step 2: Turn on the Add-on

  1. While still inside the Advanced Settings menu, select the Add-ons tab from the left sidebar.

  2. Locate Shopping in the list of available add-ons.

  3. Toggle the switch to the blue (ON) position. The Shopping tool will now appear in your sidebar workspace.

Removing or Disabling the Shopping Add-on

You are always in control of your workspace. If you prefer to maximize your screen real estate or do not use the feature, you can disable it at any time.

  1. Open Quick Settings by clicking the gear icon.

  2. Click Advanced Settings at the bottom of the panel.

  3. Select Add-ons from the left-hand sidebar menu.

  4. Find Shopping in your list of active tools.

  5. Toggle the switch to OFF to temporarily disable it, or click Remove to completely uninstall it from your sidebar.

Note: Turning off or removing the Shopping add-on is completely safe. It will not log you out of your accounts, delete saved passwords, or affect your active browsing sessions in Shift. You can re-enable it at any time.
