Allowlisting lets you choose which websites Blocker won't filter. When you allowlist a site, Blocker stops blocking ads, trackers, and other content on that domain so the website can work as intended.

What allowlisting does

Allowlisting tells Blocker to stop filtering a specific website until you remove it from your allowlist.

This can help websites that depend on scripts, embedded content, or ads to function correctly.

Why allowlist a website?

You may want to allowlist a website if you need to:

• Use internal work tools or dashboards that rely on blocked scripts.
• Support websites that rely on advertising revenue.
• Fix videos, forms, or other page features that aren't loading correctly.
• Test websites without Blocker filtering content.

How to allowlist a website

1. Open the Blocker panel.
2. Click the Settings icon.
3. Select Allowed Sites.
4. Enter the website's domain, such as example.com.
5. Click Add.

The website appears in your list of allowed sites, and Blocker stops filtering content on that domain.

Manage your allowlisted websites

You can review or remove allowed websites at any time.

1. Open the Blocker panel.
2. Click the Settings icon.
3. Select Allowed Sites.
4. Click the trash icon next to the website you want to remove.

Once you remove a website, Blocker resumes filtering ads, trackers, and other blocked content on that domain.

How allowlisting affects privacy

When you allowlist a website, Blocker no longer blocks ads, trackers, analytics, or other filtered content on that domain. The website may work better, but you'll receive fewer privacy protections while you're visiting it.

For the best balance between functionality and privacy, only allowlist websites you trust and review your allowlist from time to time.
