• Shift AI (AI Chat + Intelligent Omnibox): Built-in intelligence features that bring an AI assistant and smarter search directly into Shift. Get answers, navigate, and search without leaving your browser.
  • AI Chat : Ask questions about the page you're viewing, select text for instant context-aware answers, pull context from multiple open tabs, and open as a side panel or full-screen. Conversation history is saved and manageable.
  • Intelligent Omnibox: Smarter suggestions as you type, automatically detecting whether you want to search, navigate, or ask AI. Results are prioritized based on your browsing habits, and an "Ask AI" shortcut shimmers when a question is detected.
  • How to try it: Click the AI Chat icon in your toolbar, type a question in the omnibox and select Ask AI, or use Cmd/Ctrl + / to toggle. Manage both features in Quick Settings.

• Plan updates: We’ve made improvements across our Free and Advanced plans to offer more flexibility and better support evolving workflows, including expanded AI capabilities in Advanced and updates to overall usage limits. 

Bugs Fixed

Crashes and stability

• Fixed crashes that could occur unexpectedly during browsing, resolving multiple stability issues to keep Shift running smoothly.
• Fixed a crash when navigating between apps across multiple Spaces, resolving an issue where opening content from one Space could crash Shift when the same app was signed into a different account in another Space.

Address bar and navigation

• Fixed an issue where clicking the Home button didn't focus the omnibox, so you can now start typing immediately after navigating home.

Onboarding

• Fixed a layout issue on the Create Spaces step during onboarding, where the spaces list was not scrollable and could render behind the Next button when many spaces were added.
