Tab Grouping: Tab grouping is now available to everyone! You can right-click any main tab to create a group, helping you organize related projects together. Groups are associated with specific Spaces and can be saved to your Bookmarks Bar to persist across restarts and sync between your devices. A new Tab Group icon on the Bookmarks Bar provides a central hub to manage all your groups in one place. Note: this is only available for main tabs and not app tabs.

Chromium 147 Engine: Shift has been updated to the latest Chromium 147 engine, bringing the newest security patches, performance improvements, and web compatibility updates.
Back to Opener Tab: The "back" button now supports returning to the "opener" tab. If you open a link in a new tab, you can use the back button to quickly return to the original page.

Gmail Avatar Detection: Resolved a bug where the user avatar extractor for Gmail would fail on pages set to non-English languages.
Space Image Reset: Fixed a UI hang where the space image picker wouldn't reset properly after a custom image was deleted.
App Removal in Layouts: Fixed a bug in the Layout Editor that prevented certain bars and components from being removed during customization.

Tab Dragging Reliability: Fixed a critical issue on Windows where tabs could disappear "into the void" if dragged into the Bookmarks Bar area.
New Tab Draggability: Resolved an issue where newly created tabs were not draggable until the Omnibox was manually unfocused.
Unexpected Space Switching: Fixed several scenarios where detaching a tab or closing the last tab in a window would cause the browser to unexpectedly switch to a different Space.
Back/Forward Shortcuts on Mac: Fixed a bug where the native macOS keyboard shortcuts for back and forward navigation were unresponsive.

Omnibox Focus Stability: Fixed an issue where the Omnibox would lose focus when clicking the "Home" button while already on the Home page.
Search Interaction Fix: Resolved a bug where pressing "Enter" would fail to trigger a search if the user clicked off and then back onto the Omnibox.
Highlight State Persistence: Fixed a bug where the Omnibox would lose its "highlight all" state after a user navigated backward in history.

Google Meet PiP: Fixed an issue on Windows where the Picture-in-Picture window would fail to appear when switching away from a Google Meet tab.
Extension Stability: Resolved a crash that occurred when using certain screen-capture extensions like Awesome Screenshot.
Mac Onboarding Fix: Fixed a crash that could occur on Mac during the initial browser data import step of onboarding.
Incognito Window Closing: Fixed a bug where Incognito windows would remain open even after the last tab was closed.
Print Overlay Fix: Resolved an issue where links opened in pop-up windows were unable to trigger the print dialog.
Performance Optimization: Reduced background CPU usage by eliminating redundant UI updates when the browser is idle.
