Notable Updates

Search engine icons in the Omnibox: The Omnibox now displays the favicon of your active search engine when idle, creating a cleaner and more intuitive search experience.
Clipboard pasting in AI Chat: You can now paste images and supported files directly from your clipboard into the AI Chat prompt, streamlining the process of sharing screenshots and documents.
Custom Workspace Themes: Custom themes are now available to everyone. Choose a custom theme color in Workspace settings, and Shift will automatically generate complementary accent and contrast colors for the rest of the interface. We’ve also improved Space visibility across all themes by adding a halo around the active Space and updating several Space icon colors to provide better contrast. As part of this change, some existing Space colors may look slightly different, as we’ve matched them to the closest available option that remains clearly visible across all themes.
Open Links in Default Browser: Based on feedback from our Shift v9/Legacy users, we’ve added a new Open link in Default Browser option to the right-click context menu. This gives you more control over where links open and makes it easier to keep using your preferred external browser alongside Shift.

App switching crash: Fixed a high-impact crash that occurred when rapidly switching between different providers within an integrated app.
App loading issues: Resolved an issue where certain apps like Business Directory, Maps, and People Search would fail to load their content.
Space icon persistence: Fixed a bug where custom uploaded Space images would disappear after a browser restart for users migrating from v9.
Space color management: Fixed an issue where changing a Space's color could cause it to unexpectedly jump to a different position in the sidebar.
Smart-link context menu: Restored the "Open link in [App]" right-click option, which was missing for several integrated apps.
App tab printing: Fixed an issue where the print preview would fail to open when initiated from an app pop-out window (e.g., Gmail).

Passwords & Payments Sync reset: Fixed a bug where users were incorrectly prompted for a secret key immediately after choosing to reset their sensitive sync data.
Sync setup feedback: Added missing loading states and progress indicators during the Passwords & Payments Sync setup and reset flows.
Extension sync notifications: Silenced the flood of "Extension added" notifications that appeared when signing in to an account with many synced extensions.
Home button persistence: Fixed an issue where the toolbar Home button would disappear after a Windows logout or a full process restart.

Omnibox navigation: Fixed a bug where entering only spaces into the Omnibox could trigger an accidental navigation to an empty search page.
Window dragging area: Increased the interactive area of the top Tab Strip to make it easier to click and drag the Shift window.
Tab closing logic: Improved tab-closing behavior so Shift more accurately returns you to the most relevant previous tab, especially when navigating through links opened from another tab.
AI Chat tab icons: Fixed a cosmetic issue where new AI Chat tabs would briefly show the Shift logo instead of the AI Chat icon.
Fullscreen reload button: Resolved an issue where the reload button was non-functional while using AI Chat in full-page mode.
