Issue: Drag-and-drop functionality does not work in Shift Browser on macOS for certain websites (including in v9).
Status: 🟡 Investigating
Affected users: macOS users (Shift Browser, including v9)

What’s happening:
Some users on macOS are unable to use drag-and-drop functionality on certain web apps while using Shift. This appears to affect website builders or editors that rely on drag-and-drop interfaces, such as HighLevel and HubSpot. The same functionality works correctly in other browsers on macOS (such as Chrome and Vivaldi) and also works in Shift on Windows.

What you might see:

  • Unable to drag elements from a selector panel into a page editor
  • Unable to move or rearrange elements already placed on a page
  • Drag-and-drop interactions appear unresponsive
  • Issue occurs on certain websites (e.g., HighLevel website builder, HubSpot page/email editor)

Workarounds:
Use an alternative browser such as Chrome or Vivaldi on macOS while editing pages on affected sites.

Our next steps:
Our team is currently investigating how drag-and-drop events are handled in Shift on macOS and comparing behavior with other browsers to identify the root cause.
