  • Updated

You can install Shift Browser by downloading the installer from our website and following the setup prompts. It only takes a few minutes to get started. Once it's installed, you can organize all your apps and accounts in one place to make your workday much easier.

Check your system for Shift Browser

Before you start, make sure your computer is ready. Shift is a powerful tool, so it works best on modern systems. It's a native integration that lives on your desktop to help you stay in your flow.

System requirements

  • Operating system: You'll need Windows 10 or a newer version. Shift doesn't work on older versions of Windows.

  • Memory: We recommend at least 8 GB of RAM. This helps everything run smoothly when you have many apps open.

How to check your computer info

  1. Open your Start menu.

  2. Type "Settings" and click on it.

  3. Go to System and then click About.

  4. Look here to see your Windows version and how much RAM you have.

Note: Shift isn't supported on Chrome OS, phones, or tablets. It also won't work on laptops if they're in "tablet mode."

Once you know your computer is ready, you can grab the installer.

  1. Open your current web browser and go to the [Shift Browser download page].

  2. Click the Download button.

Can't find the file?

If you don't see the file, don't worry.

  1. Press the Start button and type "File Explorer."

  2. Open File Explorer and click Downloads on the left side.

  3. Look for the Shift.exe file in that list.

Now it's time to put Shift on your computer.

  1. Double-click the Shift.exe file to start.

  2. When the setup window opens, click Accept & Install.

  3. Follow the instructions on your screen until it's done.

  4. Shift will open up on its own once the install is finished.
