Installing Shift takes just a few minutes. Follow the steps below to download, install, and get started on Windows.

System requirements

Before you begin, make sure your computer meets these requirements:

• Operating system: Windows 10 or newer (Shift is not compatible with older versions)

• Memory: At least 8 GB of RAM for smooth performance

How to check your computer's info

1. Open the Start menu.

2. Type Settings in the search bar and click it.

3. Go to System > About.

4. Here you’ll find your Windows version and installed RAM.

Note: Shift is not supported on Chrome OS, mobile devices, tablets, or laptops in “tablet mode.”

Downloading Shift

1. Open your current browser and go to Shift’s website.

2. Click the Download button.

3. When the download finishes, look for Shift.exe in your Downloads.

Can't Find the File?

• Press the Start button and type File Explorer.

• Open File Explorer.

• In the left-hand pane, click Downloads.

• Locate Shift.exe.

Installing Shift

1. Double-click Shift.exe to start the installation.

2. In the Setup – Shift window, click Accept & Install.

3. Follow the prompts until installation is complete.

4. Once finished, Shift will launch automatically.

Now that Shift is installed, you’re ready to explore Spaces, add apps, and set up your workflow.
