How to Find Performance Settings
Follow these steps to open the Performance settings:
- Click the gear icon
to open Quick Settings.
- Scroll down and click Advanced Settings at the bottom of the menu.
- On the left side, you’ll see a list of setting categories. Click Performance.
- You are now in the Performance settings!
What You’ll Find in Performance Settings
Inside the Performance settings, you’ll see different sections that let you adjust how your system works. Each option has a toggle switch, so you can turn it on or off with a single click.
- General – Controls basic performance options, like how inactive tabs appear, the tab hover preview card appearance, which sites you want to keep always active, and performance issue alerts.
- Memory – Includes a memory-saving option that frees up space by putting inactive tabs to sleep.
- Power – Helps you save battery life or use more power for better performance with the energy-saving mode.
- Speed – Adjusts tab preloading settings, which help pages load faster while you browse.
If you want your device to run faster, you can turn on speed settings. If you need to save your battery, you can turn off power-hungry features. Try different settings to see what works best for you!
