You can change the New Tab Page (NTP) in Shift Browser by going to Advanced settings and entering a custom URL under the Appearance section. This lets you pick exactly which site opens every time you start a new task, making your workflow feel personal and fast.
Customize your New Tab Page
By default, Shift opens a standard view when you hit the plus icon. However, you can set it to launch any site you want. Whether it's your favorite dashboard or a specific project tool, Shift puts your most important work front and center.
Steps to set a custom New Tab Page
Click the Quick Settings gear icon
in the top corner.
Select Advanced settings from the menu.
In the left sidebar, click on Appearance.
Look for the Home Page and New Windows section.
Choose the option to Use a custom URL.
Type or paste the web address for the site you'd like to use.
Close the settings window. Your changes will save on their own.
From now on, every time you open a new tab or click the home button, your chosen site will appear instantly.
Make the most of your New Tab Page
Your New Tab Page is prime real estate in your browser. It's the first thing you see when you start fresh, so it's a great place for a project dashboard, your inbox, or a resource you use all day.
Why customize your New Tab Page?
Instant Access: Get to your most-used tool without typing a single letter.
Reduce Friction: Save a few seconds every time you open a new tab.
Stay Focused: By landing on a work-related site, you're less likely to get distracted by other tabs.
