You can change your team admin in Shift Browser by contacting our support team with your account details and proof of payment. This process transfers all billing and license management duties to a new person. Our team handles the switch to keep your workflow secure and your account active.
Understanding the admin role in Shift
Every team account has one designated admin who manages the group. This person is usually the one who first bought the licenses. The admin handles the core parts of the account to keep the team running smoothly.
The admin is responsible for:
Managing team licenses by adding or removing members.
Accessing the team dashboard to view activity.
Handling all billing tasks and account questions.
Steps to transfer admin status
If you're ready to move these duties to someone else, follow these steps to make the switch.
Pick your new admin: Ensure the new person already has a primary Shift account set up.
Collect your payment info: You'll need a copy of your most recent invoice or the last four digits of the credit card used for the team purchase.
Message our support team: The current admin should contact us to request the change. If the current admin isn't available, someone with the payment info can reach out.
Note: In your message, include the email address of the new admin and the payment proof mentioned above.
Removing an old admin
We can help you remove an old admin entirely. Let us know in your support message if you need to delete their access. We'll transfer the full subscription to the new admin so your team doesn't lose any progress
