You can recover your Quick Settings menu in Shift Browser by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + , (Windows) or Cmd + , (Mac). This command opens the drawer immediately, even if you've removed the icon. From there, you can use the Builder to add the gear icon back to your sidebar.
Customizing your Shift Browser layout
Shift Browser gives you full control over your workspace. This means you can remove almost any icon to create a minimalist view. Sometimes, you might remove the Quick Settings icon without realizing it's your gateway to History, Downloads, and Themes. Don't worry, it's never truly gone.
How to recover Quick Settings
If you've removed the Quick Settings control from your setup you can bring it back in seconds.
Press Ctrl + , on a PC or Cmd + , on a Mac.
Look for the Quick Settings drawer that slides out from the side.
Select the Builder tool from the menu.
Click into the Controls tab.
Drag the Quick Settings gear icon back into your setup.
Working without the icon
It's fine if you prefer to keep the gear icon off your screen. Some choose to hide it to save space. If you like a clean look, you don't need to re-add the icon. Just memorize the shortcut to access your settings whenever you need them.
