How to set a custom Space icon in Shift Browser

  • Updated

You can personalize your Spaces in Shift Browser by uploading a custom image directly to your sidebar. This quick setup instantly transforms your workflow into an intuitive visual map.

Custom icons help you find the right desktop workspace at a glance. They turn a generic list into an organized home base. You can use any image you like, but square files look best.

Upload your image in Shift Browser

Follow these steps to add your custom graphic to the sidebar:

  1. Open your Space settings.

  2. If you're making a new Space, follow the standard setup steps.

  3. If you're editing an existing Space, right-click the Space name and select Edit Space.

  4. Scroll down to the Avatar section.

  5. Click the upload icon.

  6. Select Browse files and pick the image you want from your computer.

Tip: For the best fit, use a square image (1:1 ratio).
