The Maps app in Shift helps you find places, get directions, and explore areas around you. You can look up addresses, find businesses, or get directions to any place you want to go. This guide will show you how to use the Maps app in Shift.

Navigate to the Maps app

1. Launch Shift on your computer
2. Click on the Maps app

Note: If you don’t have the Maps app in your Shift, you can add it by following the steps in this article: How to add an App in Shift.

The Maps App offers multiple Map platforms for you to choose from:

• Google Maps
• Bing Maps
• Apple Maps
• MapQuest
• OpenStreetMap
• Waze
• TomTom

Search for a Place

1. In the search input within the map, type the name or address of the place you want to find.
2. Press Enter on your keyboard.
3. The map will show you the location you searched for.

Explore the Map

1. You can zoom in or out using the + and - buttons on the screen.
2. Click and drag the map to look around and explore different areas.

Get Directions

1. To get directions, click the Directions button in the app.
2. In the “From” box, type where you are starting from.
3. In the “To” box, type where you want to go.
4. The map will show you the best route to take. You can also choose how you’re traveling:
   • By car
   • By walking
   • By bike
