How to add apps to Shift Browser

You can add apps to Shift Browser by clicking the plus (+) icon in your sidebar and selecting your favorite tools from the App Library. This native integration connects your web accounts directly to your sidebar, keeping your workflows completely centralized.

Every app lives inside your Space as a specialized app that lives in the sidebar. This means you don't have to cycle through standard browser tabs or deal with cluttered desktop windows. It integrates your inbox and services directly into a single, focused workspace.

Add a new app to Shift

Follow these steps to expand your sidebar and find your everyday software tools:

  1. Click the Add apps icon (+) in the sidebar.

  2. Use the Add icon if you don't see the specific apps button. This lets you choose between adding an app or a new Space.

  3. Search for the tool you need in the App Library.

  4. Click Add app.

  5. Give the app a name, pick a color, or create a shortcut if you want to.

  6. Click Add app again to finish the setup.

Edit an existing app

You can update your workspace choices at any time without losing any logged-in accounts or progress.

  1. Right-click the app icon in your sidebar.

  2. Select Edit app from the menu.

  3. Make your changes in the settings box.

  4. Click Save.

Your updates apply instantly.
