The Weather app in Shift provides real-time temperature tracking, current environmental conditions, and multi-day meteorological forecasts directly within your browser. By integrating live tracking into your workspace, you can easily plan your commute, travel logistics, or outdoor activities without needing to open external tracking apps.
How to Open the Weather App
Launch Shift on your computer.
Locate and click the Weather icon on your sidebar layout to launch the application pane.
Location Authorization: Upon opening the app for the first time, you may be prompted by your operating system or browser to share your location. Authorize this request to allow the app to automatically detect your local forecast.

Step-by-Step Usage Instructions
1. Check Your Current Weather
When you launch the application, the primary dashboard will instantly display today's current environmental conditions for your default location, including:
Current and "real-feel" temperatures.
Sky conditions (e.g., sunny, rainy, cloudy, or overcast).
Secondary atmospheric factors, such as humidity percentages, barometric pressure, and live wind speeds.
2. View the Extended Forecast
Scroll down the main display panel to view hour-by-hour variations for the current day, or look across the projection layout to review predicted weather trends for the upcoming week.
3. Search Weather for a Different Location
If you are planning a business trip or checking conditions for a remote client, you can quickly look up global forecasts:
Navigate to the search input box located at the top of the left-hand sidebar.
Type the name of the city, town, or postal code you want to check.
Select the correct destination from the automated drop-down list that appears. The app will save your recently searched cities in the sidebar for quick toggle access later.
