How to adjust page zoom & font size in Shift Browser

You can change your font size or page zoom in Shift Browser using keyboard shortcuts, the zoom icon, or the appearance menu in settings. These tools allow you to customize your view for better readability. Changes you make to the zoom level apply across your entire browser.

Change your view in the Shift Browser

Shift gives you total control over how you see the web. Whether you need a closer look at a detail or want to see more of a page at once, you've got several ways to adjust your view.

Using the Zoom Icon Zoom in_out.svg

The zoom icon lives in your toolbar and provides a quick way to scale your view.

  1. Locate the Zoom icon Zoom in_out.svg in your Shift toolbar.
  2. Click the Zoom icon to open the Zoom control panel.
  3. Adjust your zoom:
    • Press + to zoom in
    • Press to zoom out
    • Or type a custom percentage directly into the center of the Zoom modal

Use keyboard shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts are the fastest way to adjust your zoom while you work.

  • Zoom In: Cmd + (Mac) or Ctrl + (Windows)
  • Zoom Out: Cmd - (Mac) or Ctrl - (Windows)

Adjust default settings

You can set a permanent font size or zoom level that sticks every time you open a new tab. This helps maintain a consistent experience in your Workspace

  1. Click the gear icon Quick Settings.svg to open Quick Settings.
  2. Click on Advanced Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, select Appearance.
  4. Use the dropdowns to:
    • Set your Font Size (e.g., Small, Medium, Large)
    • Set your Page Zoom (e.g., 100%, 125%, 150%)

Your new settings will save and apply to your browser immediately
