You can request to delete your account data at any time through our support form or by email. Shift offers different levels of deletion to help you manage your privacy. If you’re leaving because of a technical bug, please contact Shift Support so we can help you fix it first.
Choose your data deletion level
We offer two types of data removal. The right one for you depends on where you live and how much info you want to clear.
Regular data deletion
Most data is anonymized so it can't identify you.
We remove you from all mailing lists.
Some data in third-party tools, like Google or Facebook, might stay.
You might still see Shift ads on other websites.
Full data deletion
We remove all personal and anonymous data from Shift servers.
We clear all data used by third-party tools.
We remove you from all mailing lists.
Deletion is finished within 30 days of your request.
Who can request Full data deletion
If you live in a region with specific data laws, you're eligible for a full deletion. These regions include:
- European Union (GDPR)
- Switzerland (FADP)
- United Kingdom (UK GDPR)
- Brazil (LGPD)
- California, USA (CCPA)
- Colorado, USA (CPA)
- Connecticut, USA (CTDPA)
- Nevada, USA (Chapter 603A)
- Utah, USA (UCPA)
- Virginia, USA (VCDPA)
Request deletion through our Support Form
Follow these steps to submit your request using our Support Request Form:
Cancel your paid subscription if you have one. You can learn how to cancel here.
Uninstall Shift from your computer. Review the Mac guide or Review the Windows guide.
Open the Support Request Form.
Enter your name and email address.
In the description, tell us which deletion you qualify for. If you don't live in the regions listed above, just ask for a Regular Deletion.
Submit your request.
Request data deletion through Email
If you'd rather use email, you can reach out to us at support@shift.com.

Uninstall Shift from your device. Review the Mac guide or Review the Windows guide.
Send an email from your Shift Account Email. This helps us quickly identify your account.
Specify if you're requesting a Regular Deletion or a specific regional deletion like GDPR or CCPA.
