  • Updated

You can print from Shift Browser by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac). You can also access printing through the Quick Settings menu or by adding a dedicated Print control icon to your custom sidebar layout.

Use the Print menu in Shift Browser

  1. If you prefer using your mouse, the Quick Settings menu is the fastest way to find your printing options.

  2. Click the Quick Settings icon Quick Settings.svg

  3. Select Print from the list of options.

  4. Choose your printer in the system dialog that appears.

  5. Adjust your page settings and click Print.

Use a keyboard shortcut

Shortcuts are the best way to stay in flow. These commands work across almost every page you visit in Shift.

  • Windows: Ctrl + P

  • Mac: Cmd + P

The print dialog will appear so you can choose your printer and adjust settings.

Add a Print control button

For a truly customized experience, you can add a permanent print button to your workspace. This native Shift feature lets you print with a single click.

  1. Open the Builder to customize your layout.

  2. Locate the Print control in the list of available tools.

  3. Drag the Print icon to your sidebar or top bar.

  4. Click Save to lock in your new setup.

Shift is built for people who want to manage the web, not just browse it. By adding specific controls like the Print button, you're creating a command center that adapts to your specific needs. It's about reducing friction so you can focus on the work that actually moves the needle.
