You can access Advanced settings in Shift Browser by clicking the Quick Settings gear icon and selecting Advanced settings at the bottom of the drawer. While Quick Settings handles your basic needs, Advanced settings give you full control over your privacy, appearance, and performance tools.
Fine-tune your experience in Shift Browser
Shift's Quick Settings are great for fast changes, but sometimes you need to go deeper. Advanced settings is where you'll find the tools to truly customize Shift to match how you work. Since Shift is a native integration on your device, these settings help the browser adapt perfectly to your computer's hardware.
Steps to open Advanced settings
Click the Quick Settings gear icon in the top right corner of Shift.
Scroll to the bottom of the menu and click Advanced settings.
The full panel will open. You'll see a list of categories in the sidebar on the left.
Once you're in the main panel, you can manage almost everything. This includes your passwords, search engines, and even how Shift behaves when you first turn on your computer.
What you'll find in Advanced settings
Autofill and passwords: Keep your login info safe and ready to use.
Appearance: Change your themes and how your tabs look.
Startup behavior: Choose which pages open when you launch Shift.
